Websites and other types of layouts include graphics. These can be videos, animations, cliparts, photos, or a customized merging of both types of items to create logos, headers, borders, decorations, drawings, and composite images. These are designed each one as components separate from the layout as a whole while keeping in mind the final desired appearance. Think of this process as being like a quilt where parts maybe constructed of other little parts and made by one person or many persons working together as a team.
Photo and clipart items can be cropped, merged, manipulated, and customized for your particular needs. Rates are $45 per hour for these items.
Video is also one of the items that might include a collection of different types of graphical components and used on your website. Rates for video are $300 per 4 hour day after pre-production and scripting. Rental Lights are extra, if needed. The best light is daylight, whether it is outside or simulated with special bulbs.
Audio/Visual or Audio-only seminars are also a popular thing to have on your site nowadays. These are generally easier to put together than video and can be put together with a slideshow or powerpoint slides to supplement or double as your "in-person" audio/visual presenation. Audio recording time is $200 per 4 hour day after preproduction and scripting. Mixing board usually isn't needed with today's software capabilities, but can be rented.
Print production will never be replaced by other technologies. Many clients like to have print items to match the graphic components on their sites, such as logos for forms and letterheads, invitaions and thankyou notes, folders, etcl. Others need print materials that are updated on a regular schedule, fo example newletters, coupons, and special flyers.
Although webgraphics must be optimized and "smallerized" to download quickly on the web, print items require graphic components to be saved in final versions as larger files with higher resolution than webgraphics. Online storage is available for no extra charge to avoid sending large email proofs.
